CD-ROMs:
with catalogued literature citations in pdf-files;
with photos of types, which are gradually scanned from slides with an aim to form a database of types;
with various information, such as area photographs, biological recordings, overview photos of museum collection and much more.

To insure the safety of information, these CD-ROMs are also archived on hard disk.

Zoological Record:
is represented since 1933, the year of SEITZ-II-Supplement appearance.

Cataloguing:
Library is catalogued by the Author-Symbol method, developed by Dr. K.H. WIEGEL, Munich (Vgl. Nachr. bl. Bayer. Ent. 18(4-6):106-112). Due to the connection of author and systematic catalogues, it is now possible to have the information on taxon at the working place in a matter of minutes.

Although since 1993 the system is being managed by the computer, it is still generally enclosed in handwritten cards, which can be used separate from the computer version with its possible problems. Thus, the catalogue and the system of cataloguing are protected against computer downfall.

Duplicates:
There is a rich collection of book and journal duplicates (including various complete series) available. The list can be sent upon request.
