I was born in Ulyanovsk, Russia. After finishing secondary school in 2000 I entered the Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University, Faculty of Biology and Chemistry. In 2005 I finished my studies there with a Diploma project “Embrional and postembrioinal development of Crustacea”. During my studies in this University I interested in Entomology. Since 2003 I have started my scientific work on the Limacodidae of the Palaearctic and South-East Asian Region under supervision of Dr. Vadim V. Zolotuhin. From September 2005 to December 2007 I was a student of Master degree of Entomology Department of the St. Petersburg State University for special work on the family Limacodidae of the Palaearctic and Indo-Malayan Regions. The title of my MPhil is “Revisions of the generic complexes of Limacodidae (Lepidoptera, Zygaenoidea) in South-East Asia”. Since 2007 I am a PhD-student of Zoology Department of the Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University with a title of PhD-thesis “Monophyletic lineages of the limacodids of the genus Parasa auct.: taxonomy and phylogeny”. In spite of special work on the genus Parasa I continued my work on Asian Limacodidae. During my study I took part in 6 expeditions through Middle Volga Region of Russia (2004, 2005, 2008, 2009), in 2 expeditions to the Far East of Russia (2005, 2006), in 1 expedition to Peninsular Malaysia (2006), and in 2 expeditions to Vietnam (2008, 2009). I took part in the following research projects: PBI of the American Museum of Natural History (2006–2007); Russian Federal program supporting scientific schools NSh – 7130.2006.4 (2006); RFBI-grant № 08-04-90300-Viet_a (2008–2009) (Conservation of the biodiversity of moths of relict tropical forests of Vietnam under anthropogenic pressure and their practical significance); BOLD (the Barcode of Life Data Systems) of the University of Guelph (2009–2010).
